Joe Szabo Glasswork

About

I believe pictures speak louder than words, so please feel free to skip this profile and have a browse through the photos of my decorative glass work. However, if you would like to find out more about how I started working with glass and what kind of work I do, read on...

It all started over 20 years ago when I was on holiday in Croatia and someone I met through a mutual friend needed help in turning over a large glass panel. When I saw it, it was love at first sight. I returned to my native Hungary, did a course and set up my business. I worked with interior designers and architects on larger commissions, such as bank branches, solicitors’ offices, health clinics and private residences.

In 2008 I moved to the United Kingdom, the country of fascinating hedges, chimneys and stained glass art. I’ve been lucky to be able to continue working with glass - I’d like to help preserve this country’s traditional glass art and I also hope to make my own modest contribution to British contemporary glass art. I work in a studio in a wonderful and inspiring garden in Buckland, Surrey.
This website contains photos of a wide variety of the commissioned work I have done and pieces of art I have created. All have been sold.

Please click on Events to find out about exhibitions and sculpture trails where my pieces can be seen and purchased now.

My works are also on display at The Wisley Gallery in the Welcome Centre of RHS Garden Wisley (Wisley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QB).

I'm afraid I'm unable to take any commissions at the moment.
